Only the instructor’s instruction and professional

The salaries on instructional academic staff are
governed by a salary schedule.
4.
The chair is ex-officio, non-voting for the
evaluations.
B. Materials to be examined:
1.

Form” for each instructional
academic staff
member.
2.
Student evaluations of instruction.
3. Written reports of department conducted class
visits, if available.
C. Procedures:
1. The chair is responsible for receiving and
distributing the evaluation materials.
2. The materials shall be distributed to each
member of the Executive Committee in advance of its meeting for evaluations.
3. Prior to the meeting, the members of the
Executive Committee shall read the materials and rank each instructional staff
member according to the performance ratings:
“meritorious”: exceeding
expectations
“satisfactory”: meeting
expectations
“unsatisfactory”: failing to fulfill expectations

present and voting.
5. All instructional academic staff not
receiving a rating of unsatisfactory will be assigned a rating of satisfactory unless
changed by the following steps:
a. Members may then nominate individual
instructional academic staff for the meritorious rating.
b. After discussion and consideration of all of the instructional academic staff that have been nominated for consideration of a meritorious rating, a vote will be taken on each. A simple majority of the committee members present and voting is required for the awarding of the meritorious rating.
6. The chair will inform the instructional academic staff member and the appropriate dean of the results.
