Teaching Tips - from the UW Colleges Mathematics Department
The following are teaching tips submitted by members of the UW Colleges Mathematics Department:
Speak WITH, rather than TO, your classes.
Sometimes I get so wrapped up in a lecture that I expound enthusiastically,
but blindly. Following the tip, I can better diagnose how well my lesson is
being received and adjust the pace accordingly. I encourage class
participation, but do not endorse requiring or grading it.
