Faculty Profile Noreen Ferrari, Associate Professor and Chair - UW-Barron County: Noreen has been with the UW Colleges since 1997. During her tenure at the Barron campus Noreen has taught a variety of courses, providing a rich physical education curriculum. Professor Ferrari has coached women's volleyball and basketball, as well as serving as the Athletics Director. Currently she is serving as the new Chair of the department following the previous Chair, Dorothy Kowalski, who served as Chair for 9 years. |
Campus Profile UW-Sheboygan offers a variety of basic skills and majors courses in their physical education curriculum. Located in the city of Sheboygan, the campus has a fieldhouse, tennis courts, soccer fields, and great running/walking trails. In addition to physical education offerings, UW-Sheboygan offers several varsity sports for men and women. Missy Skurzewski teaches physical education courses and serves as the Athletics Director at UW-Sheboygan. |

Associate Degree The UW Colleges offers the Associate of Arts and Science Degree. Students completing this degree earn a minimum of 60 credits in the Humanities, Social Sciences, Math, and Science, along with credits in their degree area or electives. The completion of the AAS degree assists students with transfer, fulfilling the general studies requirements at many Universities across the United States. |
Physical Education

The Department of Physical Education & Athletics offers freshman and sophomore courses in sports, aquatics, and fitness, as well as courses for students majoring or minoring in physical education, health, coaching, or fitness. They also oversee Athletics in the UW Colleges. The curriculum varies from campus to campus, but provides the first two years of a degree in physical education for students interested in the major. Athletics in the UW Colleges
The 13 campuses of the UW Colleges compete in the Wisconsin Collegiate Conference. The conference sponsors competition in several men's and women's sports, crowning conference champions. The UW Colleges campuses and Wisconsin Technical Colleges make up the Wisconsin Junior College Athletic Association. The WJCAA sponsors regional and state championship tournaments in 8 sports.
