We, the Faculty of the World Languages Departments of all thirteen UW Colleges, make up the University of Wisconsin Colleges World Languages Department.     World Languages Department Mission Statement:  Revising June 2009

    World Languages Assessment Statement:  A UW Colleges-wide assessment program has been put into place to enhance the quality and effectiveness of the curriculum, programs and services of the institution.  As part of this assessment program, students enrolled in a World Language course may be assessed on an institutional and departmental level in performance on general educations skills and /or communicative skills in the foreign language.
